It is always nice to take a day off & hang around with fds to do nothing~~ XDDDD

For about a week, I hv been very busy with my work.... Getting prepared for the fair in wan chai and to actually being at the fair, it had been rather exciting~~ 

This is the first time I hv prepared & exhibited in a fair all by myself. However, this is a great experience. Just.... Before showing u guys the food, I hv a few moans..... Q^Q u would listen to me right?

Dinner at Kings' Lodge

Once or twice in a month, I tend to have dinner with my 2 fds whom I met becoz of being fans of w-inds.~

One of them are gonna get married in Oct, and the other one is planning for his wedding~~ >///////< It kindda felt strange that we met like 8 yrs ago, everyone is young and immature~ Now? We're all getting married!! =0=!!

Time flies~~ Doesn't it? 

Anyway, we chose to have dinner in Kings' Lodge at TST~~ I have always knew that this restaurant is expensive and not all that special, but one is getting married, so her call for the day~~ XDDDDD

Dinner & Dessert~ wwwww

Finally~!! After a busy month, starting to have some spare time to myself~~~
Went dinner with my fd, this really ended up like a very chinesiee  night~~~

I guess it had been at lease 2 years when I had a Yum Cha for dinner~~XDDDD It was kindda exciting~~
Didn't hv much, coz it wasn't really that amusing, n also my fd said he's gonna take me to a very nice dessert house~ So left some room in my stomach for that~~>W<

Japan Trip (Part 1)

OK, here's a more recent blog..... Not one I said I would do then left for a few months later~ XDDD

Went to Japan to visit Mochi who is not studying in Japan~~ Unfortunately unable to stay at his boarding house~~XDDDD Damn! Wishing I could do that to save some money for shopping~~

Anyway, took the midnight Hong Kong Express, I just can tell you how hard I tried to sleep, just..... Alight, cheap flights, you can't expect that much~~ It was my first time on HK Express, I forgot they do not offer meal~ So I went on, starved myself for 4 hours.......  =_=!!!

Back to the blog~~ this Christmas, I think the only place/mall that attracted most of my attention was the Shatin New Town Plaza~ I guess most of u would agree, judging by the amount of ppl there~~XDDDD

Kakurega Ramen Factory~

Surprise Surprise~~ Food again..... n yup, alone agin!!! Q^Q
Jesus...... i hv no fds really right?! >"<

This was my 2nd time there~~ as i was in sum shui po for material purchasing~~
Was gonna leave and go home, but the time was almost 6:00pm, so might as well hv dinner be4 going home...... hv nothing to eat at home anyway = =!! 

So I went, the shop does not open until exactly 6:00pm. so I joined the queue.

See that direction I took the photo from? Well, that was the WRONG direction to queue!! Beware!!! I was like the 2nd person there, but ended up hving to go very far back the queue cos the staff would not give me the order sheet.........

BTW, they give u order sheets be4 u get to sit down~~ that's a gd thing, so it saves ur waiting time~~~!! In an other words, this is not a place for u to sit round and chi-chat for 5 hours...! XDDDD

Anyway,  I went to the back of the queue...... OTZ!!!! I got plenty of time to look around.....Q_Q

The walls are all filled with little drawings by pen  / pencil~~ This made the dull mall alley more friendly and lively~~

 Apart from the drawings..... I saw this............

Just in case u got bored in waiting~~XDDDD So nice~~~ I can see the comic has been chosen for a reason~~~ (A comic abt cooking and eating the best in the world)

I havn't wait for a long time, I guess I was still very much at the front of the queue~~~

Went in , sat down~ Wait for foooood~~ at the same time, took picssssss~ XDDDD

 

 

I liked the way the whole place looked very raw~ no unnecessary decorations,  also very much like the japanese street ramen stalls~~~ The seats are made from cola crags, that I couldn't take a pic of, cos i don't think the other consumers would like to see me doing that~~ =P

Next, since this is a dip ramen shop, the ramen are to be eaten with steps~XDDDDD

These are the main ramen u can choose from~~ my favourite is the red~~~ >W<

It was tomato soup, a little spicy... well, saids the menu~ Something i can eat, so it is definitely not spicy at all~!!

Since u r supposed to dip ur ramen into the soup to eat, the soup is pretty condensed. This is why I like it~~! >//////< It is said in the instruction pic not to drink it directly, but i do anyway~~ XDDDD

See how much they put into one bowl of soup? This was pork, super soft, it felt very melty~!!

No sticking to your teeth, one bite, one chew, then down it goes~~!! Loved that soft texture~!!! Unlike general pork inside soup, being all tooooo chewy and hard to swallow~ >W< 

Also, thin slices of pork were even better~!!

They have their names printed on the seaweed, But dunno why, they tend to put it faced down into the bowl as if they don't want it to bee seen?

This is hot spring egg~ Which the name really came from eggs boiled in hot springs, but here, it just refers to eggs that have runny egg yolks inside and firm egg white. 

Ramen, personally i think its a little too hard, but i supposed ppl like that, just im weird >_<" Sorry~~

Anyway, the soup that got left over, u can ask for soups to be added in, so it waters it out a bit....

Last time, I asked for adding in broth, it was great~! Loved that soup~ But this time, the waitress did NOT ask and just gave me miso soup... that was nasty!! T^T Could not drink it, it tasted tooo strange~!!

I u were to go, rememeber, tell them exactly what u want!! @@

  

The whole thing including a can of cola cost me around 120 HKD, I think its a little expensive, but i think it is OK if u consider this as a treat for urself~ It was honestly good~~ >W<

Well....... I randomly was window shopping alone the other day~~~
Then very unfortunately everybody had a date that night!! Q^Q so I was all alone for dinner~~~

A Calming Maid Cafe~

Although many maid cafe in HK is very ACG orientated, but, this one, just the atmosphere is more calm and less otaku, for ppl who want to try maid cafe, this can start u off~~

Lantau afternoon tea~(?) XD

Since i was in mui wo for the weekend, Mochi n I went to hv a cheap afternoon tea in the Silvermine bay hotle! This hotel was sold to the current owner this yr~~ in my point of view, he/she is actually doing a pretty hood job! They now offer accommodation packages for tourists, launched a completely new menu and advertisements sent out. Lots more promotion done! There're even BBQ night during the mid autumn fest. 

When i went past the hotel, there were obviously more ppl in the dinning area than be4! As I saw a large poster of the cheap tea set, i decided to give it a try.

HK lolita charity event

As some of u guys may know~ I wear lolita~~

However, I only consider it as a type of clothing, I do not consider it as a living style. 　

For those of you who don't know what lolita is, please read abt it on my next blog, I'll do one later on. Let's just talk abt this gathering first ^0^ 　   　

This is the only one lolita event I was interested, although August has another major event, but early registration is needed..... I don't even know what I'll be doing in August so didn't apply for that one~~ 　   　
This Miss Charity event was organised by by <華夏. Lolita> , lets talk abt this event by the flow~~ 　   　

First of all, arrival~~ Each table had a different flower name, there were little decorations set according to that name~~

After little introdution and opening~ Lunch TIME!!!!!! 　   　

Although that was not brilliant food, but enough to fill me up~~ Actually there was a funny thing~~ Since all the drinks were bought from Gongcha, when we take photos we had to hid all our cups~~XDDD it was quite a funny scene when all 7 of us putting away our cups~~>W<

When this tea tower came out, everybody was cherring!!  SOOOO CUTE!! It was made by one of the girls here~!! I wish I could do that..... T^T 　   　

Since I was 80%% full, this tower I was eating at a super slow speed...... 　   　

BTW, My fd also made this cute little macaron for us~!! LOVELY!!!

　   　

As u can see from the name, this was a charity event, there were lolita related items sponsored by shops and people  for an auction. All the excess money will be donated to ORBIS and MSF.  　   　

For me, I hv also made a bonnet "Classic Pearl" for bidding~~ The photo was sent to Apple who was the main host of this event~~

Most of the items were sold at a price lower than price u can buy from outside, but still a realatively reasonable standard! Eveyone were doing their part in this charity event! >W<  　   　

After the auction, we played a game called "selling guy"(?)~ That was really my first time to play~~ @@  　   　
Basically, each table will have an item to collect, the fastest to complete wins~~ 　   　

Our table had to collect 25 rings, however, our table didn't hv enough, so we rushed to other table to take pics of the other ppl's hands(photos count)~~XDDDD 　   　

Thanks for giving us a hand guys~!XDDDDD  　   　

According to the winning order, we were to go out and see the vending items in the order~~ We came third><" 　   　

Since there were too much to see...... I had no time to take pics~!! XDDDD hahaha...... Shopping shopping~~~~ 　   　

All these goods sold here are also doing charity work, the shop will donate an amount of mony to the charity according to each item sold~~>W<

Underarm~~~XDDDD

It's summer guys!!!
Well, I guess no need to tell u judging by the heat recently~~ ><"
During summer, girls all feel like wearing less and less. Good for the eyes of guys huh? =_,=+
In summer, I hate having two problems..... um.... I actually hate many inconvenient things in summer, but these 2 are the top. One, having to carry round with you a thin jacket, cos places like shopping malls and restaurants tends to be freezing through out summer, especially cinemas. Secondly..............
 
Underarm issues!!! =^=,
I hate having to deal with these problems..... not about the smell, that is easy, it is the hair = =!!

Guys, really, be a gentlemen and not a word if u see a girl have hairy underarm. She might have just forgot to shave, if it is not too bothering you, just pretend u didn't see it.
For me, I'm a super forgetful person, the just mentioned problem I have came acrossed it a few times. Some pretend they've not seen it, i know, cos i can tell by the way the're looking at me~ XDDDD

So, I decided to go and get it sorted forever!! I purchased a permanent hair removal treatment.

I was told that I have very hairy underarm and will take many times to clean it all up. So, I did 8 times throughout the year and a half(I think)...... result.... not completely useless, skin of the underarm area have definately turned less dull, the hair has definately turned thinner. Just...... Not all gone!! =0="

One thing was gone forever for sure is my $ 7,000 HKD!!

I was not annoyed, cos I know I have many troubles in this area, my responsible beautician gave me a discounted price, $ 3,000 HKD for 8 more treatments. She said I'd be done by the 4th time, so I agreeded.

I didn't spend all this time talking about it becoz how good I think they are......

I'm talking about it becoz................ My underarm is still not cleaned! I'm now at my second 5th time!!!

I can still see clearly hair growing out from the skin, which means I will still have to shave when I go out, and I will still be embrassed when one day I happens to have forget to shave!!! =^= SH*T!!

I am so gonna call up my responsible beautician about this...... =________=+

They moved into a super nice place, but have this kind of problem.... really, I'd rather not have spent that $3,000 HKD here.......... = =!!!



At night, went to hv dinner with fds in  Ku La Ko (?)~~~~  XDDDDD
It's not really a cheap place to eat, but the amount I think worth it~!




They came in different sets, each set have 4 to 5 dishes~~ I was gonna say small dishes..... um.... I found them not very small, coz I couldn't finish it.

All dishes came random = =!! So, I'll go through it by the correct order........

Caesar salad~~ Lots of salad cream!! >W< Good~!! Also plenty of cheese~~!!! Great!!!>W<






Next, Clams in Japanese Rice Wi~

Clams didn't have the strong fishy taste, which was good, hate that strong and unpleasent taste~ normally ppl complain why are there only 2 clams....... I don't have that comment,coz i was 40% full after eating the whole salad........ Anyway, the soup was not too alcohol alcohol~ I could handle that~ Another gd thing I guess?=W=+



Something more full filling, tempura~~!!>W< One big shrimp, one oyster and one pork(cut into 2 halves) I only had oyster, cos it is gonna get a little too much for anything comes afterwards. They oyster was NICE!!!!! Not over fried, not watery, no terrible fishy taste, the fried flour was not thick! Lovely!!! >//0//<



Here comes my favourite, LAMB~!! >////< Soft, easy to cut, very juicy, tasty...... but the lamb taste not strong enough I think....



This, is the main reason I ordered this set~~~~!! I really felt like hving this for no reason at the time~~ =P

See the layer of salmon there? I  tell you, there are plenty more!!! Most Jap dinning might provide u with a large bowl of rice, then a thin layer of salmon on the top...... but THIS!!! SOOOOO MANY!!!!!
 
REALLY ENJOYED IT!!! (although gave 1/2 of it to my fd~XDDDD)



Finally came dessert.................. The only failur............. sesame was tooooo sweet!!! =0=" way over the top!! I should hv chose green tea ice-cream instead!! T^T

See this set? $198 HKD only!!!!! I think it is a fair price, but to compare with other restaurants in MK, might be a little expensive~~~ =P

BTW..... I'm still terrible in describing my food I know, Im trying reallyT^T

A little girls' gathering with a fd~~>W<

I think I've known her for about 5~6 yrs? in between, we rarely contact, coz she went to Japan for about 3 yrs?

It's only been recently we got back in contact, then, of coz, a little dinner gathering is needed~~>W<

So, we went to a CoCo Ichibanya in Windsor House~ This place I don't go very often, coz there's not much for me to see in that mall~ I think I only went there abt few months ago for the toilet in basement~~XDDDD

In my point of view........... I don't think they have a big variety to offer......... It doesn't not mean they hv not many dishes, just.......... feels all the same. I guess becoz they're a specialist in curry. People who want to go with fds, beware, most of their food are curry..... don't think that there must be dishes other than that to choose from~~~ Coz there really isn't if u don't like curry~!

Well, I chose Creamed Croquette & Mushroom Curry, didn't feel like hving meat that night~~

When we order, there's this funny... or can call environmental friendly(?) option~~

You can choose how much rice u want, then the'll deduct / add the amount into the price!! I really appreciated that, cos I don't eat much, I'll just end up wasting, also paying for food  I know I won't be able to finish~~

I chose 200g, which deducted $ 5 HKD off my original price~ Not a big deal, just I think less of waste~~
Also.... I don't take spicy, so chose the lowest level..........


btw I watched TV the other night, it said spicy food is gd for you, it increases your blood circulation and metabolism~~ which means~~ better skin!!!

OMG!!! No wonder my other fd have such a baby like skin!!! = =" I think I'll try to eat more kimchi....... any brand u guys can recommend me? I can't eat tooooo spicy!! Q^Q

Anyway, back to this dinner~~XDDDD

First of all, Have to talk abt their way of ordering~~
You will need to choose your curry, then you can either choose soup, salad, ice-cream, soft drink. 2 of them are included in your set, to order more, u'll need to pay extra.

I was gonna order starter and drink, but the soft drink list is only this..........
See the special beverges? they are NOT included, not even add small amt to get them. You need to pay the FULL price to get one glass of them drinks.... = =!!! I'll go for soup and ice-cream........


As for my fd, she ordered salad and soup~~XDDDDD I still think it is a weird combination~~~



Salad, ordinary, but fresh, not soggy~~ Soup, it was not Russian Borsh, more like a veggie soup with a little bit of pepper seasoning in it~~ I find it did a pretty good job in starting you off to feel like eating~~ Normally if there's an option, I go for creamy soup, but after a bowl of that, I'm pretty much 30% full~~ XDDDD Luckily they don't let you choose here~~



Curry~~ NICE!!! I like watery curry....... er.... well, sauce~~ can eat with rice more easily. That's really a personal like / dislike I know~~XDDDD Plenty of mushroom~ but um...... hv to say, the mushtoom was definatly just mixed in with the curry, not cooked together, u can taste it~~~

The creamed croquette was nice!!! Super creamy, when u bit into it, it was all melty white cream~ loved it!!! I ate some different ones be4, it was slightly harder and more like japanese rice cake!! Both was good for me, just this creamed croquette was not too full filling, the portion was just right~~  =P

This was what my fd ordered~~~ Kimchi beef curry~~~



My fd ordered level 3 spicy curry.... so I didn't hv any~~~ Just to show u guys the look~~ That was a 300g rice btw~~~


Finally came the ice-cream!!! From picture, u really think it isn't much........ but in fact, it was BIG!!!

My fd was too full to share this with me.... I end up ate it all....... God!! really!! super satisfying, very nice ice-cream~~ Definitely not the random Park n Shop / Welcome brand ice-cream~~~ >W< NICE!!!

Recommended for this place~~ Comfortable place to sit, nice food, fair price!!! >W< Yeah!!
